NuZi is a music collective founded in 2017 by betty mulat and samira warsame. We are dedicated to providing a platform for black women, woc and trans folks within the vancouver electronic music scene. We focus on the production of dance and music events with an emphasis on rap and electronic music, as well as community engagement and empowerment initiatives. NuZi strives to strengthen, and promote black culture by nurturing spaces for expression, encouragement, safety and togetherness.

NuZi is based in vancouver on unceded Indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
